Good morning guys,
I hope you are well. I got unfortunately the flu but nothing to worry about it. Staying at home, I have the opportunity to write here on the blog and to be able to talk with you about my last trip to Berlin, Germany; it was a wonderful and unexpected trip!
Many of you that follow me on Instagram (HERE) have followed live my journey so they know perfectly I travelled for a long weekend in mid-January 2020, being guest of the splendid Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, 5 stars located in the heart of the city, in a central position between the famous East and West fracture. This hotel is located in the modern district that rises around Postdamer Platz, full of splendid buildings including the imposing Sony Center.

This Hotel choice is truly strategic for visiting the main attractions of Berlin.
Grand Hyatt Hotel is located at Marlene Dietrich square very near from the main attractions of the city, including the Gemalde Galerie (4 minutes walk), The Philarmonie (3 minutes walk), the Brandeburg Tor (12 minutes walk) and many others.

The hotel is made up of 321 luxury rooms and 21 suites. I personally stayed in a superior room with a panoramic view of the city. The view is amazing and the bedroom, with a very spacious marble bath and shower is really splendid. Balmain amenities and precious details such as Egyptian cotton towels and sheets made my days here extremely comfortable.
The strong point of this hotel is definitely the breakfast time – A kilometer buffet with every type of sweet and dessert, a dream for an Italian gourmand like me, but also perfect for who prefer a rich savory international breakfast. A large corner of the buffet is also dedicated to vegan and vegetarian proposals, as well as yogurts, juices, and fruit centrifuges. The icing on the cake is definitely the Food & Beverage supervisor, Mrs Cordelia Igel, an elegant and classy woman that took great care of me making each morning ruly unforgettable!

During breakfast time you can order fresh pancakes and delicious eggs included in your breakfast fee
However, the pride of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin is certainly the Spa:
The Club Olympus Spa & Fitness: More than 800 square meters located on the top floor of the hotel with spectacular views of the Berlin Philarmonie.
The spa is also equipped with a confortable gym with TecnoGym equipments (and also with a panoramic view). Each ambient of the spa has very large windows from you could enjoy the best view of the city.
The Grand Hyatt Hotel is very modern, with different artworks and contemporary installations created by various international artists. I think it should be interesting to stay at also during the summer, when for example, the large terrace in front of the Vox restaurant, directly overlooked on Marlene Dietrich platz, is opened and you can have breakfast or lunch under the umbrellas.
But besides this splendid hotel, are you curious to discover all the beauty that I have seen in Berlin?
I am preparing a guide, an Edoardo’s planet 8 -) where you can also find suggestions on the best places to have a drink or eat, as well as on the best shops to discover in Berlin!
