Even this year it was held the event more relevant to helping the international high watchmaking; we’re talking about the show dedicated to watchmaking and fine jewelry that is held every year in Switzerland in Basel, in a word: Baselworld.
This year the show presents numerous innovations, which particularly affect two historical brands of the most famous, such as Rolex and Patek Philippe.
Starting from the first House, this time the Swiss watchmaking House surprises us with many innovations, including the most important of the new Cosmograph Oyster Daytona 40 mm steel gold and black ceramic ring (which recalls the first model of the 65 ‘). Particularly modern as approach , in our opinion quite stunning. The iconic Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master, comes up with a brand new look that accepts gold colors Rolesor Everose placed together in a very special dial color chocolate. A clock that make dream lovers of vintage!
For women, Rolex has some new models, such as the Lady-DateJust 28 and the ‘opulent Pearlmaster 39; both show a masterful use of diamonds that adorn these important timepieces.
Among the latest Rolex think both for her and for him, even a new version of Date Just42 in measure 42 mm, never before produced by the Maison. Available in steel and gold variations.
Turning to Patek Philippe, this year we are surprised with the all-new Grand Complication Ref. 5930G-001, complicated watch with chronograph, 24 time zones, white gold case and alligator strap. With its intense color navy, it will certainly be a watch that you will remember. Even the familiar female model Calatrava, is renewed with a form entirely white and a bezel set with 44 diamonds, white lacquered dial, indexes Clous de Paris applied gold.
Among other innovations we point out the new Eberhard Extra Fort Grande Taille Chronograph, with a mechanical movement with automatic winding and two opposing counters (30 minutes at 3 o’clock, small continuous seconds at 9 o’clock) and date at 6 o’clock.
Also interesting are the models proposed by Zenith, like the Elite Classic Chronograph, and the model El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition, made for the occasion in limited edition to 500 units.
This year the salon has given us some surprises and novelties not granted, our proposals are those that most impressed us, by type and particularity. We therefore hope that for you this overview has served to have a broader view of the latest innovations in the field of Haute Horlogerie.
