Once again I will try to involve you in my passion, proposing something unusual and to do that,I will treat not of the diverse world of male watchmaking, but the more refined niche reserved to the female universe.
The Van Cleef & Arpels -“Cadenas” is a timepiece (actually looks more like a real gem bracelet) really particular that the Maison has dedicated to women inspired by the image of the Duchess of Windsor and her timeless sophistication . The jewel-watch is presented both in yellow gold that white, always adorned with diamonds and with the strap or alligator leather or variant in gold (in my opinion the most special and worthy of note). The sinuous lines and pleasantly rounded, modeled on a classic style, soft, highly effective and always extraordinarily timely. The movement is quartz, but in this type of accomplishments, the internal caliber fades into the background, overshadowed by the beauty of the whole.
With this post dedicated to women, we wanted to make a tribute to them, by proposing this model highly refined, which makes of the intrinsic femininity his tour de force. However, the name used shows the hard image of chains, screeching apparently with the above said; in this case, however, they don’t want to be a sign of coercion and torture, but a wanted attachment and symbol of absolute protection.
Moreover, as noted by the poet in this famous poem:
“Je suis allé au marché à la ferraille, Et j’ai acheté des chaînes, De Lourdes chaînes,
Pour toi Mon amour,
Et je suis allé au marché aux esclaves, Et je t’ai cherchée, Mais je ne t’ai pas trouvée
Mon amour. “
Jacques Prevert
“I went to the market of ironwork
And I bought chains, Heavy chains
For you, my love
And then I went to the market of slaves, And I searched for you, But I did not find you
My love”
Jacques Prevert
