One of the events I expected more during the XXV edition of Alta Roma last July was certainly the opening of the photo exhibition signed by photographer Max Cardelli for Bulgari, titled “Form and Light”, which the italian actress Isabella Ferrari protagonist.
The exhibition, conceived by shooting only in black and white, will be merged into an elegant catalog with proceeds going to Save the Children entirely , an international independent organization which Bulgari has decided to collaborate since 2009 in defense of vulnerable children around the world.
The event was organized in one of the most iconic location in Rome, “Horti Sallustiani”, with a really exceptional parterre, including the italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio, the fashion designer Delfina Delletrez Fendi, Valter Veltroni, the journalist Marco Travaglio, the CEO of Bulgari J.P. Babin with his wife Marzia, that I had the pleasure to meet During the evening.
Sincerely, inside the Max Cardelli’s photos, though undeniably artistic, I haven’t seen the surplus of female spirit that surely the photographer wanted communicate. The figures of Sappho, Joan of Arc, Antigone, and the many women of history myth that the artist wanted to reunite through the image of Isabella Ferrari, fail to convey consistency, if not in their timeless iconicity.
From Marilyn Monroe to Jeanne of Aragon, just to name a few, the flight might seem always too large.
I found Touching the closing speech of the Bulgari CEO Babin which renewed the commitment of Bulgari in the promotion of noble causes.
For the front row , I wore a Hermès’ total look and Bulgari jewels of course.
