News from Baselworld: The best watches for 2015

Watchmaking fans have set out clearly a date in own calendar, coinciding with the beginning of spring, or the hall of luxury watches and jewelery which takes place in Switzerland in Basel, in one word: Baselworld.

Like every year, all operators in the sector (and others) keep their eyes on this event, waiting to see all the news that the market has to offer and also to try to understand what horizons are heading and what are the latest trends and new models made.

Also this year the show did not disappoint our expectations, presenting a large amount of timepiece worthy of note, that we present in this article, to keep us / you up to date on what is happening around us, in watchmaking .
Among the most prestigious homes in Haute Horlogerie, surely we announce the Breguet Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde Ref. 7097 complicated, spectacular whatch, with mechanical movement and a truly breathtaking view. A unique piece for connoisseurs and the breakthrough technical and stylistic. Staying on this line we must mention Patek Philippe with its Split – Seconds Chronograph Ref. 5370, that I would call “austere”, and at the same time with an elegance that never goes out of fashion.

Among other accomplishments that I can tell you there are definitely two clocks presented by Omega, or the Globmaster classic line that hides a movement particularly resistant to large magnetic fields and the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon which proposes the use of innovative materials as zirconium oxide and it portrays the glories of the landing on the moon of Apollo 11. The new Bulova Chronograph Percheron has had some success with its powerful , solid lines that make this watch a fine specimen with a clever contrast between the rose gold case and brown smoked dial , as well as Chopard with his LUC Regulator, complex timepiece that rediscovers ancient lines to give again them new life and splendor. Rolex instead presents the new models in the Oyster, and Cellini Time, remaining true to its nature always highly recognizable, while renewing and evolving in the new models proposed.

Among the most interesting jewelery watches, designed for the female audience we find new realizations of Girard Perregaux whith Cat’s Eye line, very fine with a dial that shape reminiscent of the eye of a cat, and always in theme, but with meaning sportier, still find Chopard with its Happy Sport 30 mm. line, that sports the characteristic diamond dancing free to move within the quadrant.

Ample space was also reserved for the fashion houses who presented various models such as Salvatore Ferragamo and the line F-80 in the new role (white for her, black for him), Louis Vuitton Emprise with the line inspired by his famous trunks and finally Hermés with the model Slim of Hermés with perpetual calendar and moon phases, worthy of the most prestigious Swiss movements.
Finally I would like to point out one innovation that aims to bring the world of watchmaking tradition with modern culture in which we live, which is the Bulgari Diagono Magnesium concept whatch , that integrates a chip and an antenna inside the watch that allows you to keep in Total security all sensitive data that you want to keep inside.

In conclusion we can certainly say that the show presented watches to suit all tastes and all types of users, fully satisfying our thirst for novelty!
